PSP enthusiasts have been getting very busy lately and the latest news from PSP Hacker proves just that. One of the website's members (cr4igp4lmer) has created a fully featured emulator pack for the PSP which offers a collection of emulators and applications for Sony's handheld. The pack includes games such as Blackjack and Bejeweled and emulators including Mame, NesterJ, PCEP, PSPSMS, PSPGenesis, Rin, Snes9x and more. The entire pack can be loaded onto a memory stick and will work in a more or less plug n play fashion on any 1.5 firmware PSP. To get the pack and find out more follow the download tab above. Great package, with everything you need for the little wonder.First of - 'Anonymous', Sony probably IS 's.ting themselves over all this modding'. Once again, they've managed to do the impossible and make a Portable PS2 - But at the current price, they lose 100.000's of dollars, by selling it, and they hope to cover their expenses on the media instead. If customers buy the PSP for the emulators, the music, and all of the other build-in goodies alone, how will Sony earn anything?Second - Ob-Shaky, it works fine on a 1.0 PSP - You only need the app you mention, if you have a 1.50.Great work by Sony; and the ultimate alternative to Nintendo’s overgrown calculator.
Ive got a US psp running 2.0 w/ nesterJ and Snes emulators. All you need is a little program to exploit the image overflow and you can run the programs from the loader itself. I duno about 1.5 but looks like 'most' not all of the homebrew for 1. And 1.5 can be run on 2.0. I was running Quake yesterday.anyway.good luck and feel free to actualy search for awnsers befor looking like a noopie.(I guess the only thing keeping some of the 1.0 and 1.5 homebrew off the 2.0 is that nothing can be run in kernal mode in 2.0, hopefuly that will be fixed soon.

Its design and background is quite different than most other emulators as RetroArch does not implement an emulation core itself. RetroArch talks to libretro, a generic emulator core API. This means that RetroArch is core agnostic, and it does not care which emulator core is running. RetroArch 1.3.6 [Sony PSP] [MIPS] Hits: 434 Size: 3,58 Mb.
